Wonder Woman is the film to make those scornful of the DCEU sit up and take notice. Patty Jenkins has crafted a film that will be enjoyed by people regardless of age and gender etc,<br/><br/>When Diana (as played by Gal Gadot) daughter of the Queen of the Amazons rescues American agent Steve (Chris Pine) from pursing German forces it is the start of an adventure that will see Diana make discoveries of many kinds.<br/><br/>Jenkins brings in many kinds of genres into the film that kick it up a notch from other entries in this field. There is course Action as Diana and Steve aim to stop a plot to change the course of WW1, the set pieces which see Diana take on multiple opponents at a time are eye catching. There is comedy in particular from Lucy Davis. And romance as Diana and Steve develops feelings for each other.<br/><br/>Gaadot is more that up to task of showing us the development of Diana as someone who goes from sheltered innocent to someone who is confronted with the harshness to the outside world.<br/><br/>As I said at the start of this review Wonder Woman has something for everyone.
I enjoyed this movie from first to last. The tone of the movie was very good and inspiring.<br/><br/>+ Movie was fast paced. Never got bored. + Loved the chemistry between the two lead (easily the best part of the movie) + Acting was great from all the performers. + Visuals, locations were engaging and beautiful + Didn&#39;t push feminism too hard. If they tried, it could become very ugly. + Cool soundtrack<br/><br/><ul><li>Villains are not that imposing or menacing.(especially Ares) - Didn&#39;t impressed with final fight. - There were some directing problems I think. For example, when WW finally goes full war in the battlefield in the 2nd act the soldiers didn&#39;t seem astonished. They gracefully accepted her even though she is not normal human being. This didn&#39;t match with the current DCEU universe where superman struggling to find his place.</li></ul><br/><br/>Another problem was that her mother was so easily acceptable to her going to the outer world. Overall, I think Hippolyta&#39;s character was very weak, also many other characters in the film. - Some CGI didn&#39;twork for me - Overuse of Slow-Motion<br/><br/>Overall, this is a good film. But not a great movie either. I liked Man of Steel more. I will place this movie with BvS (I don&#39;t care RT scores. I can judge a movie by myself). I am finally happy seeing a superhero movie with a female lead. Hope Wonder Woman 2 will be better(just like the 2009 animated one).
Yes, it’s the DCEU’s best film, but as we know, that’s not saying a lot. But, hey, that terrific second act that we should cling to even if it’s a distant memory by the time love defeats aggression. “Wonder Woman” might be molded by the mighty Gods, but as shaped by mere mortals her mettle and beliefs and can be only so wonderfully divine.

Superman: Dawn of Justice and seeing the previously released film does not give any major insight into the story or characters of Wonder Woman. However, this film does begin and end with a framing scene set in modern day, where Diana Prince, the secret identity of Wonder Woman, receives the original glass photo plate of the photograph she took during World War I, which leads into the flashback of the rest of the film. This ties into Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from a scene where Bruce Wayne discovers a digital copy of the photo which lead to him learning that Diana Prince was Wonder Woman. It&#39;s possible to answer this question by comparing the pieces of evidence made available by the film. First, because Diana is the only child on the island, we can assume that Diana&#39;s and Themyscira&#39;s ages are one and the same. We have no way of knowing how old Diana is in this story, so it makes the most sense to tie her chronological age to Gal Gadot, who was 32 when this movie was released. Second, Greek Mythology&#39;s tradition dates back to the 9th century BC, although historians theorize that those written traditions are recording oral history that dates as far back as the 12th century BC. Therefore, by comparing those two time spans, we can postulate that for every year that passes on the island of Themyscira, about 100 years have passed in the world of Man. This estimate of time ratio ( or rather ageing ratio ) is supported by Diana seeming to be almost the same age in the present day, as she was during WW1. No, nothing that happens at the end of Wonder Woman indicates that World War II would no longer happen within the DC Extended Universe movies. This question comes up because Ares, the god of war, is killed by Wonder Woman at the end of the film which leads some viewers to think this means war will never break out among humans again, preventing World War II and any others. However, when Ares reveals his true identity to Wonder Woman he explains that he does not create the desire in humans to start war but that they already have it in them. Ares simply sees the wars that humans make on their own and pushes them along so that it feeds his power. So the death of Ares in this film does not mean that humans would no longer engage in war. A hundred years later, we see in Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad that the nations of the world still have militaries. Also, in a real life historical context, World War II began as a direct result of the sociopolitical climate in Germany after the First World War. Wonder Woman helps to end the First World War, but does not have any part on those larger historical factors which cause Hilter&#39;s later rise to power.
